banana cake recipe


  • 3 over ripe banana
  • 3 Tbs honey
  • 1/2 cup nuts (almonds/cashews/walnuts) I use a mix
  • 1 Ts vanilla
  • 4 Tbs chia seeds
  • 3 Tbs flaxseed
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 unsweetened almond milk/coconut
  • 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 1/2 Ts baking powder
  • 3/4 Ts baking soda
  • 1/4 Ts salt
  • 1 Tbs ground cinnamon



  1. Preheat oven to 280 degrees.
  2. Mash the bananas, and add all liquid ingredients and chia seeds mix until well combined and creamy. In a separate bowl mix all the dry ingredientes.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix. Pour into pan with parchment paper, sprinkle oats over top, and bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
  4. Keep bread tightly wrapped to maintain moisture.
